1. Ah Gong Minced Pork Noodles - $2.50 Claypot Bak Chor Mee

If you are fan of claypot and a hot and steamy bowl of Bak Chor Mee, check out Ah Gong Minced Pork Noodles located at Maxwell Hawker Centre. For only $2.50, you get a bowl of Bak Chor Mee soup noodles topped with minced pork, cabbage, pork lard and shallots. The stall owners are also not stingy with the ingredients as they give a big bowl of noodles. However, if you want to get the dry version of the Bak Chor Mee, you will have to top up another 50 cents for it. For its price point, I would say that it is worth trying out this Claypot Bak Chor Mee as the portion is huge.

As Singaporeans, our comfort food would definitely be a plate of chicken rice. Hawker Chan serves Soya Sauce Chicken Rice at only $5. Although they have lost their Michelin star, there is still a endless queue at their store especially during peak hours. Hawker Chan's Soya Sauce Chicken Rice is definitely the best bang for bucks with such aromatic rice and tender chicken.

3. Inspirasi - $2.50 Mee Rebus with $0.50 Begedil

Inspirasi is malay food stall that sells traditional malay dishes such as Mee Rebus and Soto Ayam. The owners of the stall put in tremendous efforts to prepare the dishes as it takes at least 12 hours to cook the broth. That being said, they are only selling their Mee Rebus and Soto Ayam at only $2.50 while their Begerdil is sold at $0.50 per piece.

Do check out Inspirasi if you want a cheap quick bite, it is also very convenient to get to the place as it is located directly outside Bedok Interchange. However, do note that the opening hours varies as they only open till they are sold out.
