Wanton Mee is one of my favourite hawker centre foods; the springy eggy noodles taste amazing when paired with some black sauce and chilli sauce. Topped with char siew, vegetables and hand-wrapped wantons, who wouldn’t want more? To fulfil your cravings, here are 10 Wanton Mee vendors in Singapore.
1. Fei Fei Wanton Mee - Opens Till 2am

Open till late at night, Fei Fei Wanton Mee is my go-to supper spot when I am craving a bowl of hot Wanton Soup. Fei Fei Wanton Mee also offers many other dishes such as Meatball Noodles, Chicken Feet Noodles and Yong Tau Foo.

One of the reasons why I love Fei Fei Wanton Mee is their chilli sauce which goes very well with their springy and thin noodles. I always order an extra side of Fried Wanton which is crispy and the filling is well seasoned.

The bowl of Wanton Mee is topped with Bu Jian Tian Char Siew which is the star of the show as it has a nice balance of fats and meat. The char siew is also well caramelized, allowing you can taste the sweetness and smokiness of the char siew.

Their bowl of Thai Wanton Mee contains extra ingredients such as Cured Fish Sausage, something different from our local Wanton Mee. The noodles are may seem dull as it is colourless but you will be surprised as it packs a punch as they use lard oil and fish sauce in them.

4. Cho Kee Noodle - Choose Between 6 Different Types of Noodles
Located at Old Airport Hawker Centre, Cho Kee Noodle is no stranger to many of us as it has been around since the 60s. This Wanton Mee stall is unique as you get to choose the type of noodles you want – Spinach, Tomato, Multigrain, Seaweed & Vegetable. Something different compared to your normal eggy noodles.

The texture of the noodles is QQ and it absorbs the sauce well, allowing you to slurp on it. Their wantons are also handmade and they are generous with the fillings in them. It is quite heartening to see this old school Wanton Mee stall is now run by second and third gen hawkers!

6. Eng's Char Siew Wanton Mee - Original Eng's Recipe
I am sure all of us have heard of Eng’s Char Siew Wantan Mee, the original Wantan Mee at Tanjong Katong. Due to some disputes over the years, they have decided to relocate their stall, but they also have an outlet in East Village.
Eng’s Char Siew Wantan Mee is currently run by the owner’s kids and they have managed to retain their father’s recipe. Their noodles are very fragrant topped with large cubes of pork lard. They are also known for their spicy chilli sauce which complements the bowl of noodles. Do note that Wantan Mee is only sold in the morning at East Village as they only provide Claypot Rice from noon time.

Ang Moh Noodle House has since expanded their menu, offering Braised Beef Noodles and Prawn Dumpling Noodles amongst others. Their bowl of Wanton Noodles comes with springy noodles mixed with their spicy chilli, flavour pack wantons and own grilled Char Siew. No wonder, they have so many loyal supporters over the years!

If you have tried Bei-ing Wanton Mee, you would know that they put in effort to each bowl they serve as the presentation for the food is stunning. Their noodles are springy, topped with grill-torched Char Siew and their chilli has a little kick to it. They also have other side dishes as well and I would say their Chicken Tonkatsu is a must try!

9. 88 Hong Kong Roast Meat Specialist - Thick Cuts of Char Siew Drenched in Sweet Sauce
Although 88 Hong Kong Roast Meat Specialist is known for their roasted meats, they also serve a decent bowl of Wanton Mee. But the star of the dish would be their Char Siew which is drenched in the sweet dark sauce.
Their Wanton Mee is made using dark sweet sauce and lard oil with thick cuts of Char Siew, topped with pork lards. The juicy pork that makes up the wanton fillings makes this a satisfying plate of Wanton Mee.

10. Tanjong Rhu Wanton Noodle - Traditional Old School Wanton Mee
Tanjong Rhu Wanton Noodles may look like any other bowl of Wanton Noodles and may seems bland, but the sauce really stands out. Afterall, Tanjong Rhu Wanton Noodles have been on multiple media reports.
They use thin springy noodles with thin cuts of Char Siew which gives it a good bite. I would say their wantons are very juicy and filled with a generous amount of minced pork. Their soup also has flavour unlike many old school Wanton Mee stalls that serves diluted soup.
