1. Windsurfing

For a start, you can try out Wind Surfing at East Coast Park, which combines sailing and surfing on Singapore Waters. Aloha Sea Sports Centre offers lessons to get you started, or if you're an expert, you may just rent the equipment and get in the water. For all adrenaline junkies, you can try out some extreme jumps, loops, and freestyle spins. Constant Wind Sea Sports Centre at Changi also provides introductory windsurfing lessons and equipment rentals.

Want to go sailing in the middle of the city? Head down to the DBS' Sailing At The Bay program, where everyone is onboard the boats in Marina Bay. These sailing events are typically held on weekends and are free and accessible to the public. They provide an enjoyable time traveling around the bay while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

3. Kayaking

To kayak, you don't need any prior sailing experience. Made just for beginners, Fever Kayak sailing guides will teach you the fundamentals of sailing using simple and easy to understand terms. You can reach Pulau Ubin via this kayaking path, and then you'll have to find your way through the gorgeous mangrove forest. You can also try out what they're best known for: Kayak Fishing. Beginners shouldn't worry. There are qualified instructors who will guide you along the way, and no prior experience is necessary. In no time, you'll be soaring up, up and away!

5. Stand-up Paddleboarding

At the same place, you can try out Try stand-up paddleboarding if you prefer a less strenuous or competitive water sport (or SUP for short). In addition to being a calming experience where you can be one with the water, it is also very good for enhancing balance as well as strength and endurance. You can test it out at locations like the Constant Wind Sea Sports Centre in Changi, the Aloha Sea Sports Centre in East Coast Park, and the Ola Beach Club in Sentosa.

Wakeboarding - a personal favorite where you can try out cool stunts in a perfectly safe environment at East Coast Park. Usually it's done inn the open sea but Singapore Wake Park replicates the experience beautifully by installing cable systems that can be adjusted to beginner and advanced levels, as well as, curved boards that follow the shape of huge tides. Come on down, grab a board and surfs up!

Grab 12 or 22 crew members that you'd like to take on this exciting journey of high speed paddling and teamwork. You can also have a scenic view of the entire Central Business District view while you're paddling away. It will definitely be an experience of a lifetime that you'll treasure most with your friends. If you're feeling competitive, well, there nothing stopping you from competing with the next boat.

10. Attend mermaid school

Yup - you heard that right. Mermaid school! It's time to live out you underwater fantasy and take lessons from Singapore's first mermaid, Syrena, who'll teach you everything you need to know. Being a mermaid isn't all that easy when you're constantly practicing your core muscles and swimming around with a flexible body.
